For gas storage facilities using depleted reservoirs, Tartan engineers work closely with client reservoir engineers to design topsides which best match acceptable rates of injection / inflow and decline / outflow rates for the field. Compressors, which represent a significant capital expenditure for any storage facility, are designed to accommodate both injection and withdrawal rates without the need for re-staging.

Tartan has worked on underground LPG storage caverns and natural gas storage reservoirs.

Tartan has also been deeply involved with developers of CNG storage containers.
