Dieter Kromm, P.Eng.  ( Alberta )
President & Chief Executive Officer / Chief Project Manager
A graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Dieter joined Tartan Engineering in 1989 and became President / CEO in 1999. Dieter has over 25 years of project management experience within the oil and gas industry. In addition to corporate stewardship, Dieter oversees all project management services for our Clients and has been the corporate champion for Tartan's Loss Control Management ( LCM ) program.

Grant Little, P.Eng.  ( British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan )
Vice President, International & Strategic Initiatives / Quality Manager
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Grant joined Tartan Engineering in 1979. Grant has over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience and has also held executive management positions with two former affiliated companies of Tartan Engineering that focused on engineering-procurement-construction projects and mechanical maintenance. Grant is responsible for Tartan's Quality Management program, as well as overseeing all facets of Tartan's international work and new business ventures.

Mark Adams, P.Eng.  ( Alberta )
Vice President, Business Development
A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Mark joined Tartan Engineering in 1996, having previously worked with an affiliate of Tartan Engineering. Mark has over 20 years of oil and gas and industrial experience with a focus to automation and electrical engineering. Mark has overall responsibility for all of Tartan's domestic business development initiatives including Client liaison.

Ian Baggott, P.Eng.  ( Alberta )
Chief Financial Officer / Engineering Manager / Administrative Manager
A graduate of the University of Calgary in Mechanical Engineering, Ian joined Tartan Engineering in 1988. Ian has nearly 20 years of oil and gas experience and has previously served in a project manager role on a number of challenging projects. Ian now has responsibility for all of Tartan's engineering services and the administrative activities within the firm, including the financial side.

Peter Schenk, P.Eng.  ( Alberta )
Manager, Automation Business Unit
A graduate of Lakehead University as well as possessing an Alberta Electrical Journeyman's Certificate ( licensed electrician ) and a Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Diploma in Electronics, Peter joined Tartan Engineering in 1996. Peter is the manager of the Automation Business Unit that takes on specialized "stand alone" automation / controls projects both domestically and internationally. Peter has over 25 years of electrical and automation experience.

Craig Beck, B.S. ( Chemical Engineering )
Manager, Analyzer Business Unit
A graduate of California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, Craig joined Tartan Engineering in 2003. Craig has over 10 years of advanced analyzer systems experience. Craig is the manager of a group that specializes in analytic systems for measurement, accounting and process control applications. His expertise has been provided to projects worldwide in refinery, gas processing and petrochemical applications.

Garry Isbister, P.Eng.  ( Alberta )
Manager, Technology Business Unit
A graduate of the University of Manitoba in Mechanical Engineering, Garry recently joined Tartan Engineering to lead Tartan's initiative into commercializing new technologies focused on the energy industry. Garry has over 30 years of broad oil and gas experience in a variety of business environments including consulting engineers, equipment fabricators and packagers and E&P companies.
